Course Description:

Multi Media – one semester for 1 credit Grades: 10, 11, & 12

Prerequisites: Business Exploratory

• Students will learn how to use the programs in ILife
• Edit pictures in IPhoto
• Create songs and podcasts using Garage Band
• Make videos using IMovie
• Share songs to ITunes
• Students will create advanced presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
• Design high-impact and dynamic presentations
• Create and navigate through presentations and add enticing effects
• Students will create Google Docs, Blogs, and Wikis.
• Students will learn to make spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
• Use to create and format spreadsheets
• Analyze and share information to make more informed decisions.
• Create professional looking charts
• Write formulas to perform math functions

Materials Required A flash drive would be very helpful.

Grading System Quarter grades will be determined as a result of the points you have accumulated during the course of the grading period. You will be graded on such things as:

1. Assignments – 30%

2. Projects - 40%

3. Quizzes and Tests – 30%

In fairness to the people who get their work done on time, late work will only be given partial credit.

Teacher Expectations:

• Students are to be honest and trustworthy.
• Students are to be in the classroom by the time the bell rings. If not, you will be counted tardy.
• Students are to use the Internet, computers and all technology equipment in a responsible, efficient, and ethical manner.
• Students are not allowed to eat food, candy, and pop in this computer lab.

Students, you need to read and sign Mrs. Grandgeorge’s Internet Agreement form before you may use the computers in Room N216. Also, you and your parents are required to sign the Internet Agreement sheet before getting on the Internet on any school computer.
